The most gentle ones are up from the road to its east, the steepest are from the north and west. Standing on top, it is very difficult to see how the Prussian cavalry could ‘charge’ from the north, but they did. My suspicion is that the Austrian horse were too tightly packed behind their artillery. on the crest, and could not turn to their flank to cope with the unexpected line of approach of the Prussians. My experience of Google earth is that it always has a tendency to flatten out slopes!Andrew Brentnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03879202271300223714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-946235325566947321.post-78845736346535658272020-03-02T02:25:18.025-08:002020-03-02T02:25:18.025-08:00It's intersting to see such a very different S...It's intersting to see such a very different Soor-Scenario, however I would include all wings. I was astonished that you didn't included the Chance of Trenck's attack on Frederick's camp. The aspect would be even more exciting if you would follow the (most probably fictional) account by Friedrich Freiherr von der Trenck, who still was in Frederick's favour at that time, although that is not hictorical. Without having scenario specific limitations on the Austrians it's difficult to see anything but an Austrian victory. I did it by making it hard to activate the Austrians unless the units concerned were directly attacked.nundankethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12895608927860103442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-946235325566947321.post-49927844251413956832020-02-22T06:17:14.202-08:002020-02-22T06:17:14.202-08:00Good to see you returning to the Lace Wars James. ...Good to see you returning to the Lace Wars James. My very first map and post for Obscure Battles. Perhaps I should revisit to elaborate on it.

What gorgeous troops you have! I am in awe of the design and meticulous craftsmanship, not just of your painting, but your whole wargame venue. Every detail is superb.

And I love the design of your card-based game. Truly elegant.

Thank you for this posting and these photos.

JeffJeff Berryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09188876209461291938noreply@blogger.com
