Buchenwald being Beechwood and Eichenwald being Oakwood, etc.JAMES ROACHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04019888286247164276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-946235325566947321.post-3393125832577490192016-01-19T13:36:30.152-08:002016-01-19T13:36:30.152-08:00Great looking terrain with excellent roads. I liked the way you made the junctions that you needed.

But I suggest you rename the Buchenwald so it isn't confused with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buchenwald_concentration_camp

JimColCampbell50https://www.blogger.com/profile/15910423749022189030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-946235325566947321.post-18829669764491850232016-01-19T00:01:17.860-08:002016-01-19T00:01:17.860-08:00I made the pond about 15 years ago and it comes ou...I made the pond about 15 years ago and it comes out every so often. I made it for re-fighting Chotusitz at a much reduced scale (Cirkwitz Pond). It's just a piece of perspex, underside painted 'dark water' with some polystyrene tiled 'banking' suitably painted and flocked. Lily pads are just balls of Milliput pressed flat with the handle end of a big paint brush, and the reads are brush bristles.

If I were making it again I'd do it similar, but I'd glue the square of perspex into an irregular shaped MDF sabot before doing the banking (which I'd now make out of foam board). This original is very square and I have to hide the fact under all of the edging seen in the photo.JAMES ROACHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04019888286247164276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-946235325566947321.post-62404591148638101542016-01-18T14:15:52.716-08:002016-01-18T14:15:52.716-08:00That pond is excellent, did you make it?
